The New York Mets officially unveiled the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game logo before their game against the Miami Marlins this past Tuesday.
The logo is basically what was leaked last week, only, as expected, without the “Mets” script across the skyline. Traditionally, team nicknames are only included on alternate All-Star Game logos.
While the two logos we’ve seen feature the Mets script, and now one with nothing, over the skyline of the logo, according to the report on MLB.com there is a third logo which features “MLB” in that spot:
Set upon either a blue or white background, one version of the logo has the word “Mets” set in front of the skyline in traditional script. Another has “MLB” in block letters, while a third version features no words at all. – From MLB.com
Traditionally the logo bearing the MLB abbreviation is used as the primary logo for the event, while the team script logo is used by the team to sell merchandise to fans.
The patch was also unveiled and is available for sale, the patch logo does not include the Mets or the MLB mark on the skyline.
There is also a set of secondary logos, which are the standard set created for each All-Star Game. Script logos, horizontal logos, etc. We’ve collected all the different versions of the logo we could find in the graphic below:

The 2013 MLB All-Star Game will be played on July 16, 2013 at New York’s Citi Field.
