The Arizona football program will wear new “Dress Whites” alternate uniforms for Saturday’s Military Appreciation Game against Utah (2 p.m. ET on Pac-12 Network).
The all-white look features the Wildcats’ standard white helmet and pants along with a new jersey that includes red digital camouflage in the numbers and blue digital camouflage on the sleeves and contrasting collar.
There’s also a patch on the right shoulder for the 355th Fighter Wing, which is stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in southeast Tucson.
This won’t be the first military-themed uniform for Arizona, which also wore U.S.S. Arizona-inspired uniforms against Hawai’i in 2016 to mark the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
The Wildcats also donned the helmet from that uniform – which displayed a simple red “A” on both sides, similar to what the program wore in 1941 – for their game against the Rainbow Warriors in 2019.
Last season, Arizona unveiled a “Battle Gray” alternate uniform for their Military Appreciation Game against Colorado. It featured a “DM” decal on the back of the helmet as a nod to the local Air Force base.
That decal can be seen on the back of this year’s helmets, as well.
