All thirty Major League Baseball teams will wear grey and pink caps today, Sunday, May 8, 2022, in celebration of Mother’s Day. As has been the case over the last few seasons, there will be no pink jersey design to match, just the special caps.
This year’s design features a grey crown with a pink camo pattern applied to each team’s usual primary cap logo. On the left is the New Era logo in white, the right is blank, and the underside of the visor is a larger version of that pink camouflage pattern we see used on the team logo on the front.

This year’s design is certainly a lot less colourful than what we’d seen in past years, though this does force more emphasis on the pink portion of the cap. Last season, in 2021, clubs wore their usual crown colours and team logos were simply filled in pink rather than the expected white, a pink ribbon was also added to the side of the cap.
