Today the Cincinnati Bengals made official what we already knew; they will be wearing a white version of their striped helmets in 2022.
The helmet features a white shell with black Bengal tiger stripes across the sides and top; the facemask is black. The only element adding any colour is the Bengals’ primary “B” logo in its usual orange and black placed right on the front just above the cage.
“For over 50 years, Bengal tigers have roamed the Cincinnati jungle, renowned around the world for their unique stripes and ferocious play,” read the narrator of the teaser video posted by the team last week, “but recently, photo crews captured rare footage of a new and exotic Bengal species spotted right here in the jungle.”

Cincinnati will pair their new white helmet with their old white ColorRush jerseys and white pants, a mockup of what this combo will look like:
Cincinnati first wore the black-and-white ColorRush uniforms during the 2016 season. Introduced as part of the NFL’s ColorRush promotion, the Bengals wore the mostly orange-free set for the first time during a Week 4 victory at home against the, oddly enough, the all-orange Miami Dolphins.
The Bengals have teased September 29th as the date this set will be worn, which would be against, hey, how about that, the Miami Dolphins.
