To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Major League Baseball players will be wearing simple flag patches on the sides of their caps and back of their jerseys today much like they did during the last month of the 2001 season.
The Toronto Blue Jays are commemorating both Canada and the United States today, one flag is being worn on each side of their cap while a crossed flag patch is being worn on the back of the jersey… in 2001 the Blue Jays sported only the U.S. flag on their uniform.
