The Phoenix Suns’ 2023-24 City Edition jerseys were leaked on social media on Thursday, a little more than one month after they unveiled their new Association and Icon uniforms.
The purple jerseys were shared on Twitter by @skunwong32 – who previously leaked the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2023-24 City set – and were subsequently confirmed by SportsLogos.net as legitimate.
They feature “El Valle” – the Spanish translation for “The Valley,” which appeared on the Suns’ 2020-22 City Edition uniforms – across the chest, as well as gradient numbers that mimic a sunset.
The numbers are outlined in turquoise, a gemstone with special meaning to the indigenous tribes that call Arizona home and the color of Phoenix’s 2022-23 City set that celebrated Native American heritage.
Both the gradient pattern and turquoise accents are carried over to the side panels, which appear to have an airbrushed design reminiscent of the pinstripes on a lowrider, a customized car rooted in Mexican-American culture.
While no official unveiling date has been announced, the Suns – and the rest of the NBA, for that matter – are expected to reveal their new City Edition uniforms in mid-November.
In the meantime, the Suns actually unveiled two new court designs on Thursday evening, including their standard home and Statement Edition floors.
Both courts feature black baselines and sidelines that transition to purple near midcoast via the same block-style gradients used the numbers of their Statement jerseys.
Phoenix’s primary icon can be seen at the center of the core court, while the “PHX” wordmark that’s on the chest of the Statement jerseys is appropriately displayed on the Statement court.
The courts are complete with the Suns’ wordmark on the baseline, purple keys outlined in orange, a black three-point line and the Footprint Center logo on opposite sides of the center line.
