The Louisville football program will wear a brand new helmet design during Saturday’s game against Boston College, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The candy red helmet features a white script “Cards” wordmark on both sides, a white facemask and will paired with the Cardinals’ red home jerseys and white pants.
This marks the first time Louisville has worn something other than a cardinal logo or Old English “L” on its helmet since it displayed an American flag on the sides from 1970-72.
It’s second new helmet design for the Cardinals this season, joining the black lids they wore with the “Heisman Bird” on the sides in the win over Murray State on Sept. 7.
