The Missoula PaddleHeads, an independent professional baseball team in Montana, introduced a wintertime “PowderHeads” alternate identity today with two logos featuring their moose character engaging in winter sports enjoyed by the people of the Missoula and Western Montana at large. The logos were created by Brandiose.
When the PaddleHeads rebranded from their Missoula Osprey identity in 2019, their logo set inclued activities more commonly associated with the summertime—appropriate given that baseball is a summer sport. The new PowderHeads identity, which will be worn for select games during the 2024 season, features skiing and snowboarding.
“It’s all about lifestyle in Missoula, and the longterm vision for the brand was every two or three years to introduce lifestyle brand for the logo set,” said PaddleHeads President Matt Ellis. “We felt like skiing and snowboarding was a natural progression for Missoula.”
The PowderHeads, members of the independent Pioneer League, will take the field in 2024.
