During a recent press conference, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders told reporters the Buffaloes will have new football uniforms for the 2024 season.
“We’re happy with our newfound relationship with Nike and what they’ve done for this university,” Sanders said. “The new uniforms for next season, as well … Nike’s doing a phenomenal job of outfitting us all. It’s gonna be good.”
The Buffaloes have worn their current uniform design since 2015 and are the last remaining Power 5 program outfitted in Nike’s Speed Machine template, which was introduced in 2011 and features Flywire on the collar.
Colorado added some new wrinkles this season, though, including alternate road uniforms with gold numbers and a black helmet with a gold chrome facemask. Perhaps those offer a glimpse into the new uniforms.
That said, the Buffaloes will debut their new uniforms when they host North Dakota State on Aug. 31. They’ll then make their return to the Big XII against a to-be-determined conference opponent on Sept. 21.
