Bayer Leverkusen Home Kit Headlines Unveilings From Germany and Beyond

After finishing the last Bundesliga season undefeated and winning the DFB-Pokal, Bayer Leverkusen are back for more in new home kits made by Castore.

Bayer unveiled the new kits on their website and social media channels on Tuesday, June 11. After wearing a black shirt with a red cross on the front in 2023-24, Bayer is going with a more red-forward shirt for 2024-25. The front and back of the shirt are red, with the front covered in a tonal pattern that includes diamonds inspired by the Leverkusen-Bürrig water tower, embattled bars inspired by the city’s coat of arms and parts of the city map.

The back of the kit is solid red and has the club’s nickname “WERKSELF” on the back collar in white. The sleeves are solid black and taper to a point near the shoulders. The crew neck collar is black and the club crest on the chest is rendered in monochromatic white.

Thanks to their undefeated season in 2023-24, the Bundesliga logo will appear on the right sleeve of the new kits in gold.

🇩🇪 FC ST. PAULI – Away

After unveiling their home kits for their first season back in the Bundesliga since 2010-11 last week, FC St. Pauli are back with their away kits for 2024-25, made by Puma. Inspired by kits they wore in the early 1990s, the new away kits are predominantly white with brown and tan parallelograms running diagonally across the front of the shirt. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are brown, as are the Puma logos on the chest and sleeves and the sponsor logo on the chest.

🇩🇪 HOLSTEIN KIEL – Home & Away

Another newcomer to the Bundesliga in 2024-25 is Holstein Kiel, who are making their debut in Germany’s top league after finishing second in the 2.Bundesliga in 2023-24. Their blue home kit features a pattern of swirling hexagons on the front and darker blue sleeves with red cuffs. Their white away kit, meanwhile, features a pattern of wavy blue lines that are broken up at different intervals to achieve a ripple effect.

🇫🇷 RC LENS – Home

Meanwhile in France, Ligue 1 side RC Lens is getting back to its roots with its 2024-25 home kit made by Puma. After a few experimental takes on their usual red and yellow vertical stripes in recent years, Lens returns to tradition this season with stripes of even width running down the front of the shirt. The back is solid yellow to ensure legibility of the red names and numbers. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are solid black.

🇵🇹 FC PORTO – Home

Over in Portugal, FC Porto want all the smoke in their new home kits made by New Balance. While their traditional blue and white vertical stripes remain, the blue stripes contain a smoke pattern inspired by the club’s nickname, Dragões (Dragons). The shirt also features orange accents on the sides and inside the collar, which will also carry over to the shorts and socks.
