Earlier this week, the Colorado football program announced it would wear all-white uniforms during Saturday’s game against Baylor, which kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Buffaloes apparently did not clear that with the Bears, though, as they revealed on Friday they’ll also wear white helmets, white jerseys and white pants for their first trip to Boulder since 2010.

Obviously, both teams won’t wear the same color on Saturday evening, so which team will be forced to change? The answer can be found in Rule 2, Article 5.b.2 of the 2024 NCAA rulebook:

“The visiting team shall wear white jerseys; however, the home team may wear white jerseys if the teams have agreed in writing before the season.”

Now, Colorado could still choose to wear white jerseys if it wants to be assessed a 15-yard penalty following the opening kickoff and lose a timeout at the start of each quarter, but common sense will surely prevail.

This actually isn’t the first time this season that a visiting team has spoiled a “White Out,” as Eastern Kentucky denied WKU’s request to wear white at home on Sept. 7, forcing the Hilltoppers to wear their red jerseys instead.
