Just two days before their 2025 Canadian Football League regular season kicks off, the Edmonton Elks have rolled out a new yet familiar look for both their home and away uniforms.
The new duds were unveiled during an event at Midway Music Hall in Edmonton on Thursday, June 5. The team states on its website that the jerseys are the culmination of an 18-month design process, marking “a new chapter for the team’s on-field look, combining the past with the present.”
The new jerseys bring back several key elements that “have long been part of the team’s identity.” These include the Edmonton Elks’ Double-E logo and striping on the sleeves, as well as numbers on the front and shoulders set in a narrow block font similar to what the team used from 1996 to 2019.
The home jersey is predominantly green, with gold numbers outlined in white on the front, back and shoulders. The sleeves feature four stripes in total — two gold on the outside and two white on the inside — separated by the Double-E logo in gold with a white outline.
A gold “EDMONTON” wordmark is embroidered on the chest, above the number. Names on the back are set in a gold block font.

Meanwhile, the away jersey flips the base to white, with green numbers outlined in gold. Two gold stripes sit inside two green stripes on the sleeves, while the Double-E logo is green with a gold outline. The chest wordmark, collar and back names are green.

The Elks will also be carrying over their alternate uniform that was unveiled in June 2024, ahead of the team’s 75th anniversary season, and will wear them three times during the 2025 season. That jersey has a tonal triangle pattern on the shoulders and sleeves and gold stripes running over each shoulder — a nod to what the team wore in the 1950s and ’60s.

Pants pairings with the new jerseys appear to be a bit of a mix-and-match situation. The home uniform was modelled at the unveiling and in promotional material with new gold pants that had white, green and gold striping down the sides and a green Double-E logo on the right hip. The away uniform was modelled with a new pair of white pants with similar striping, as well as the green pants that were introduced with the alternate uniform.

All three uniforms will be worn with the Elks’ standard gold helmet with a green Double-E logo on each side and white and green stripes down the middle.
The new away jersey will make its first appearance in game action when the Elks visit the BC Lions in Vancouver on Saturday, June 7. The Elks’ home opener is on Thursday, June 19, when they host the Montreal Alouettes.
