Tampa Bay Buccaneers Debuting White Road Version Of Creamsicle Throwback Uniforms On Sunday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will debut the white road version of their creamsicle throwback uniforms during Sunday’s game agains the New York Jets, which kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The jerseys feature fluorescent orange numbers outlined in red, matching what the Buccaneers – who are celebrating their 50th season this fall – wore during their inaugural season in 1976, as well as fluorescent orange and red stripes on the sleeves and cuffs.

They’ll be paired with the same white helmets and pants that Tampa Bay wears with the home version of its creamsicle throwback uniforms, replicating what the Buccaneers wore in every regular season game that year, as the creamsicle jerseys were limited to the preseason.

That was the only season in which Tampa Bay wore this jersey, as the numbers were flipped to red with a fluorescent orange outline in 1977, and that look remained until the franchise underwent a significant redesign in 1997.

The Buccaneers did not introduce fluorescent orange pants until 1992, which is why they were not included in this year’s throwback design. The look is complete with striped socks and a throwback-inspired version of Tampa Bay’s 50th season patch on the left shoulder.

The Buccaneers will wear the home version, which includes a fluorescent orange jersey with red and white trim, during its Thursday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 11. The Buccaneers are 0-2 in that design since it returned in 2023.

The road version, meanwhile, will be worn one additional time this season, as they’ll be matched up with the Seattle Seahawks’ 1990s-era throwback uniforms on Oct. 5. A victory in either game would a first, as the Buccaneers went 0-14 during the uniform’s original run.
