Carolina Panthers To Wear Black Alternate Helmets Against Atlanta Falcons

The Carolina Panthers will wear their black alternate helmets during Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons (1 p.m. ET on FOX), marking the fourth straight season they’ll break them out for a home game against their divisional rival.

But rather than pairing them with their black home jerseys, black pants and black socks like did in wins over the Falcons in 2022 and 2023 or Process blue alternate jerseys and pants with black socks like their loss in 2024, the Panthers will opt for a rare uniform combination instead.

Carolina will wear its black alternate helmets with Process blue alternate jerseys, black pants and black socks for just the second time in franchise history, joining a 20-17 overtime win over the New York Giants in Munich, Germany, last season.

That was one of 14 different uniform combinations for the Panthers in 2024, including one unique look during the preseason, with the black helmets also being worn with their black home jerseys, pants and socks in a three-point loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 24.

Carolina is set to wear black jerseys against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 9, Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 30, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 21 and Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, as well as Process blue jerseys against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 12 and Buffalo bills on Oct. 26.

We won’t know what helmet and pants combination will complete those looks until the week of the games, but it’s worth noting their white road jerseys could also be paired with black helmets for the first time after the NFL relaxed its uniform rules this offseason.
