Los Angeles Rams Debuting “Rivalries” Uniforms On Sunday Afternoon

The Los Angeles Rams will wear their new Nike “Rivalries” uniforms for the first time when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, with kickoff set for 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.

The dark navy blue “Midnight Mode” uniforms, which were unveiled in August, have seemingly been in the works since the Rams unveiled their current uniform design in 2020 and subsequently shared a desire to drop a new alternate each season, though that never came to fruition.

They follow the same template as their white road uniforms, with sol (yellow) horns wrapped around the shoulders and a royal blue sleeve cap, though they feature a gradient-like effect. There are also white numbers outlined in royal blue, as well as royal blue and sol stripes down the sides of the pants.

The look is complete with a dark navy blue helmet with sol horns, marking the first alternate helmet in franchise history, though they’ve worn several different shades of blue with white, gold or yellow horns dating back to 1949, when they used a red shell for one season.

The “Rivalries” uniforms – which bring to mind MLB’s City Connect and the NBA’s City Edition programs – will be worn just once this season by members of the AFC East and NFC West but will remain in the team’s rotation for three seasons, allowing them to be worn in a home game against a different divisional opponent each year.

The series will then expand to the AFC South and NFC North in 2026, the AFC West and NFC East in 2027 and the AFC North and NFC South in 2028, marking the first league-wide uniform promotion since the Color Rush program debuted in 2015 and ran through the 2017 season.

Los Angeles will become the fifth team to wear its “Rivalries” uniforms this season, joining the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, while the New York Jets (Dec. 7), Seahawks (Dec. 18) and San Francisco 49ers (Week 18) will all debut theirs at a later date.

In addition to the uniforms, the Rams have painted a matching design on turf at SoFi Stadium with a modified version of their primary logo at midfield and their wordmark and secondary logo in the dark navy blue end zones, which also feature the subtle royal blue gradient pattern from the sleeves. The logos and wordmarks are all dark navy blue with a sol outline, as well.
