
College football’s postseason is quickly winding down as the new year approaches, as 16 of the final 19 games will be played by Friday evening, including four College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchups.
With that, we’re continuing our four-part preview that will show every uniform matchup, jersey patch and field design that will be used the postseason. We’ll update the list as teams reveal their wardrobes in the days leading up to their respective games.
Part three will be posted ahead of the semifinals, while the final piece of our preview will highlight the previous meetings and championship game appearances of the title game opponents before they go head-to-head at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Jan. 19.

The Mountaineers wore their all-black home uniforms against the Eagles, who opted for their all-white threads in Birmingham.
Dec. 30
Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
Coastal Carolina vs Louisiana Tech
2 p.m. ET on ESPN
The Chanticleers will wear their white helmets, teal home jerseys and white pants against the Bulldogs, who will play their 80th game in Shreveport dating back to 1937, including their seventh Independence Bowl appearance.
Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl
Illinois vs Tennessee
5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
The Fighting Illini will wear all-navy blue uniforms, including a new helmet with a script “Illinois” wordmark, while the Volunteers will wear all-white threads in their final game with Nike as they move back to adidas this offseason.
Valero Alamo Bowl
TCU vs USC
9 p.m. ET on ESPN
The Horned Frogs will wear purple helmets, black jerseys and purple pants as they evoke memories of the 1998 Sun Bowl win over the Trojans and their 2017 Alamo Bowl appearance, while USC will be outfitted in its standard road design.

The Commodores will wear their white helmets, black home jerseys and white pants against the Hawkeyes, who will be in their standard road uniforms at Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Sun Devils will wear their gold helmets with Sparky on the sides, white road jerseys and gold pants against the Blue Devils, who will be outfitted in white helmets, blue jerseys and white pants in El Paso.

Much to the chagrin of some of their fans, the Ducks will wear gray pants for the first time this season with black helmets and white jerseys against the Red Raiders, who have not yet revealed what they’ll wear in Miami Gardens.

The No. 1 overall-seeded Hoosiers will wear their home uniforms of crimson helmets, crimson jerseys and white pants in their first Rose Bowl appearance since 1968, while the Tide will wear their usual road uniforms in Pasadena.
