When they celebrate their 30th anniversary next season, the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks will be celebrating their past while looking toward the future.
The Ducks unveiled a new 30th anniversary logo on Friday, February 17, during the first intermission of their game against their Southern California rivals, the Los Angeles Kings.
The logo places a bevelled “30” in the middle of the triangle shape from the team’s original Mighty Ducks logo, which they used until 2006. Bevelled sticks, again modeled after those in the original logo, weave through the “30.” The team’s current webbed-foot D logo appears above the numeral, while “EST. 1993” appears below.
No other details on 30th anniversary festivities or special events were announced on Friday. More will likely be announced closer to the start of the 2023- 24 NHL season.
