The Atlanta Braves have been celebrating the legacy of Hank Aaron over the past several days, capping things off with a series of two throwback uniform games this weekend.
For their games Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, the Braves will wear their 1974 home white pullover jerseys with blue sleeves and red, white, and blue feather designs on each arm. Caps are royal blue with a white front panel and the cursive red “A” on the crown. Across the chest is the Braves scripted wordmark in blue with white and red trim and the player number below to the lower left. This is the same style uniform the Braves wore when Aaron broke Babe Ruth‘s nearly 40-year-old all-time home run record on April 8, 1974.
“Hank Aaron’s legacy is alive and well within the Braves organization, and his impact resonates throughout our efforts year-round,” said Atlanta Braves President & CEO Derek Schiller. “It is our honour to celebrate him and continue to champion his lifelong mission to further diversity in baseball on and off the field.”

No word yet on whether the Milwaukee Brewers, the Braves opponents and the only other active Major League franchise that Aaron played ball for will be wearing their throwback uniforms for the two games.
Fans will have the opportunity to bid on the game-worn throwback Braves jerseys here from May 6 through 31. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Henry Louis Aaron Fund.
