On Monday afternoon, the Atlanta Falcons became the first NFL team to announce they’ll unveil new uniforms this offseason, as they’ll do so in the weeks leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft in April.
This marks the first uniform redesign for the Falcons since 2020, when they unveiled their current home and road set, which features an “ATL” wordmark across the chest, a custom number font and red side panels that mimic the design of their primary logo.
They also switched to a satin black finish on their helmets with a silver chrome facemask and revealed a red-to-black gradient alternate uniform that was ultimately scrapped after the 2022 season, as well as red alternate pants that were never worn.

The Falcons also reintroduced their red throwback helmets in 2022, pairing them with their 1966 throwback uniforms for the last four years, with fans calling for the simplicity of their original uniforms and the red helmets to be integrated into a new full-time look.
Our sources have indicated they’ll get their wish, as Atlanta will lean into a throwback-inspired look for its black home, white road and red alternate uniforms, as well as updated standard black and red alternate helmets. It’s unclear at this time if their logo will also be updated.

The Falcons notably wore silver pants with the red home and white road jerseys from 1978-89, as well as with their black home and white road jerseys from 1990-2002, so they’re expected to be part of the design alongside black and white pants options.
The Falcons won’t be the only team to unveil new uniforms this spring, but we’re not able to confirm or reveal who will join them just yet. There will also be a handful of new alternate and throwback designs this summer, so stay tuned as we’ll bring you more news in the coming months.
