Bangladesh’s Tigers Ready to Roar in New Cricket World Cup Kits

The Tigers from Bangladesh are ready to roar at the upcoming 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in their new kits unveiled earlier this week.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board unveiled new jerseys for their men’s national team on Tuesday, September 26, just over a week before their opening match at the World Cup against Afghanistan.

The jerseys are predominantly green with a tonal tiger stripe pattern knit into the fabric. “BANGLADESH” is written out in white across the midsection, and a red pattern of geometric shapes appears on the shoulders and near the hem on the right front.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board logo sits on the left chest, while the 2023 ICC World Cup logo appears on the right chest in white. Names and numbers are printed on the back of the jersey in white. The logo of sponsor Daraz, a South Asian e-commerce platform, appears in white on the right sleeve.

Bangladesh sits in eighth place in the International Cricket Council’s one-day international rankings heading into the World Cup, which is held in venues around India. The country’s best previous World Cup finish came in 2015, when they reached the quarterfinals.

In ODI cricket, each team has 50 overs of six balls each to score the most runs possible without losing all 10 of its wickets.

Bangladesh’s opening World Cup match against Afghanistan will be held at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
