The NBA G-League‘s Cleveland Charge will celebrate MGK Night at the arena tonight with special pink uniforms.
For those readers not up with modern popular music, MGK (or Machine Gun Kelly) is a well-known rapper/singer/songwriter based out of Cleveland.
“Celebrate Cleveland musician Machine Gun Kelly with us during MGK Night on March 17,” reads a release from the Charge, “the team will be decked out in jerseys featuring [MGK’s] signature hot pink motif!”. The Charge will also distribute pink t-shirts to the first one thousand fans who enter Wolstein Arena tonight.
The pink uniforms include white lightning-bolt style pinstripes, black and white striping around the arms and neck, with “CLEVELAND” scrawled across the front. Machine Gun Kelly’s “XX” mark, a reference to his “EST 19XX” slogan (Everyone Stands Together), appears in the upper right.

Because this is probably the only chance I’ll ever get to post this photo that I took of Machine Gun Kelly at the 2019 MLB Celebrity Softball Game… here’s a photo I took of Machine Gun Kelly at the 2019 MLB Celebrity Softball Game:
The Cleveland Charge are the minor league affiliate of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. An original NBA D-League franchise, they were established along with the league back in 2001, known then as the Huntsville Flight. Since their time in Alabama, the team has called Albuquerque, New Mexico and Canton, Ohio home before they finally settled in Cleveland for the 2021-22 season.
