Broncos, Rams Prank Players With Ugly Christmas Sweater Uniforms

The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams teamed up with CBS Sports this week to prank their players into thinking they would be wearing ugly Christmas sweater uniforms for Sunday’s matchup (4:30 p.m. ET).

Denver’s uniform features a navy blue helmet with a reindeer logo that pulls inspiration from the Broncos’ primary mark, as well as a Christmas tree stripe down the center white navy blue and orange ornaments.  The front and back bumper also include the team’s wordmark in green and orange.

The jersey, meanwhile, have orange, navy blue and light blue horizontal stripes with repeating Christmas trees, the aforementioned reindeer logo and red poinsettias. The look is complete with Denver’s regular navy blue pants, which should have been the first indication that the uniforms weren’t real.

Los Angeles’ uniform, meanwhile, features a yellow helmet with orange and green Christmas lights inside of royal blue horns. The jersey is similar to the Broncos’, with royal blue, navy blue and yellow panels, albeit with the Rams’ primary logo instead of the reindeer and yellow poinsettias instead of red.

The uniform is complete with Los Angeles’ yellow pants and royal blue socks, which balances the overall look well. Unfortunately, the Rams didn’t share any close-up photos of the uniforms or the helmets, though you can see shots of the Broncos’ helmet below.

Aside from the lack of contrast between the two designs, it’s a really festive idea that we kind of wish was actually happening on Sunday, especially with the game being broadcast on both CBS and Nickelodeon, which should be all kinds of slime-covered fun.
