Canadian Hockey League Inks Under Armour Jersey Deal, Bauer Equipment Deal

As the Memorial Cup tournament rolls on, the Canadian Hockey League announced a major shakeup this week when it comes to what players will wear on the ice next season.

After months of speculation and rumours, the CHL — which oversees major junior hockey in Canada, including the Western Hockey League, the Ontario Hockey League and the Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League — officially announced on Wednesday, May 28, that they had signed multi-year partnerships with Under Armour and Bauer, beginning with the 2025-26 season. Under Armour becomes the official outfitting supplier of the CHL, while Bauer is now the official equipment supplier.

Under Armour takes over outfitting duties from CCM and will supply the CHL’s 61 member teams with game jerseys, practice jerseys, sublimated theme night jerseys and replica jerseys for fans to purchase. They’ll also supply players with footwear, apparel and game socks.

Bauer, meanwhile, will provide equipment including sticks, helmets, gloves, protective gear, skates, goaltending equipment and team apparel.

On their website, the CHL gave fans a sneak peek at the Under Armour jerseys, using the Memorial Cup host Rimouski Océanic as models. The jerseys will feature the company’s UA logo at the front of the collar and in a panel on the back collar. Those appear to be the most significant changes to the jersey template, at least for the Océanic.

“This partnership delivers not only enhanced gear for our athletes and clubs from the WHL, OHL and QMJHL, but also innovative merchandise for all of our fans across the CHL. We are excited to see the CHL’s future take the ice in Under Armour uniforms.

These jerseys represent more than just a new look – they reflect a shared commitment to performance, innovation, and style. With Under Armour, we’re equipping our players with elite-level apparel designed to meet the demands of today’s game, while also giving fans new ways to connect with their teams through high-quality, authentic merchandise. It’s a significant step forward for the CHL, its Member Leagues, and our 61 Clubs — benefiting players on the ice and fans in the stands.”

Under Armour was previously a presenting sponsor of various CHL initiatives, including the Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders series on CHL.ca. As part of their deals, both companies will increase their support of CHL events, like the CHL USA Prospects Challenge.

Along with the CHL, Under Armour also outfits several college hockey programs in the United States, most notably the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the University of Wisconsin Badgers.

Under Armour and Bauer gear will make their CHL debuts during training camp ahead of the 2025-26 season. Under Armour will provide more details about retail jerseys for fans closer to the start of next season, but Wednesday’s announcement did say there will be “new authentic and tiered replica jerseys.”
