Colts To Wear Color Rush Uniforms Against Chargers On Monday Night Football

The Indianapolis Colts will wear their Color Rush uniforms during tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers (8:15 p.m. on ESPN) as part of a “Blue Out” at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts have worn this uniform – which includes their standard white helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants – five times since they were introduced ahead of a 25-13 loss to the Denver Broncos in 2017.

That includes a 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins in 2018, a 15-13 win over the Broncos in 2019, a 27-20 win over the Houston Texans in 2020 and 45-30 win over the New York Jets in 2021.

Blue pants also made a brief three-game appearance (albeit with white jerseys) in 1995, including a 24-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-24 win over the Jets and 20-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills to open the season.

The Chargers, meanwhile, will counter with white helmets, white jerseys and gold pants. They are 1-2 in this combination this season, including a 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, 25-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals and 27-20 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Los Angeles is 5-6 in white helmets, white jerseys and gold pants since its current uniform set was introduced ahead of the 2020 season. That includes 2-2 in both 2020 and 2021, a trend that suggests they’ll come out on top this evening, as well.
