Dallas Cowboys Bring Their Own Benches To Washington’s FedEx Field

After receiving word from the Seattle Seahawks that the heated benches at FedEx Field malfunctioned during their Nov. 30 game, the Dallas Cowboys brought their own for Sunday’s matchup with the Washington Football Team.

The four white benches – which feature Dallas’ logo, wordmark and sleeve stripes – were shipped to Landover, Maryland, by Cleveland-based Dragon Seats, which provides heated benches to teams throughout the NFL and college football.

The Cowboys, of course, don’t need heated benches at AT&T Stadium, an indoor venue. But the temperature was in the mid-40s at kickoff on Sunday, and fully functioning seats will certainly come in handy.

That said, this just adds another layer to the storied rivalry between the two franchises, which includes Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy guaranteeing a win over Washington earlier in the week.

“We’re going to win this game,” McCarthy said during his press conference on Thursday. “I’m confident in that.”

The Cowboys currently hold a two-game lead in the NFC East, but Sunday’s game marks the first of two meetings with Washington in three weeks and will go a long way in determining which team wins the division.
