Field Design Revealed For Super Bowl LVI Between Cincinnati Bengals And Los Angeles Rams

With a little more than a week away from the game, the field design for Super Bowl LVI between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams has been revealed.

As has been the case in 42 of the first 55 Super Bowls, this year’s game will prominently display the NFL logo at midfield. For those keeping track, that number includes when the league modified the shield for its 75th and 100th anniversaries in 1995 and 2020, respectively.

The logo for Super Bowl LVI, meanwhile, has been placed at the 25-yard lines. It currently does not include palm trees, but given the NFL logo on the Lombardi Trophy still doesn’t have its eight divisional stars, those will likely be painted on the field before game day.

As the designated home team, the Bengals will occupy the west sideline while the Rams will be on the east side despite playing in their home stadium. Cincinnati’s sideline is black and includes its tiger-striped “B” logo, while Los Angeles’ is royal blue and includes the “LA” logo.

The Bengals’ end zone, which is on the north side of the stadium, features the same logo along with their wordmark in white, while the Rams’ end zone appears to follow suit, but their wordmark is actually just an extension of the aforementioned “LA” logo. The more you know…

The field design is complete with “It Takes All Of Us” and “End Racism” stenciled into the back of the end zones.

Historically, the Bengals had black end zones for both of their previous Super Bowl appearances (XVI and XXIII), while the Rams had yellow end zones in Super Bowl XIV and XXXIV and blue end zones in Super Bowl XXXVI and LIII.
