The Triple-A Iowa Cubs unveiled an addition to their suite of logos today, a cap logo featuring the face of a bear. The logo, created by Dan Simon of Studio Simon, will augment the existing brand, which otherwise remains intact.

“The new logo shows a fierce, determined image of a bear,” the team said in a statement. “It provides a glimpse into the competitive side of our mascot, Cubbie Bear. Our character-based logo will be featured on a solid blue cap the team will wear at home and a multi-colored alternate hat the team can wear with our royal blue road or Sunday red alternate jerseys.”

The Cubbie Bear cap logo will make its on-field debut April 5, when the 2022 Triple-A East season begins.
