After a couple of years on the podium, Los Angeles Football Club striker Carlos Vela has finally reached the top spot in Major League Soccer’s list of best-selling jerseys.
MLS released a list of the 25 best-selling jerseys on MLSStore.com so far in 2023 on Thursday, May 25, encompassing sales from January 1 to May 1, 2023. Vela topped the list after finishing third in both the 2022 and 2021 lists.
Two Nashville SC players — reigning MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar and defender Walker Zimmerman — landed in second and third place respectively. Vela’s crosstown rival at LA Galaxy, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, was fourth, while Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris was fifth.

The Sounders had the most players among the top 25 jerseys, with five. They also lead all clubs in overall jersey sales on MLSStore.com.
