Mexico Jumps On Neon Bandwagon With 2015 Copa America Kits

Mexico 2015 Kit

During the last World Cup cycle, Mexico’s national team (aka El Tri) decided to wear their all-black change kit for a couple of home matches, instead of their traditional strip of green shirts-white shorts-red socks. That odd change of pace is now going to be permanent (at least for 2015), as Mexico has come out with an absolute stunner of a kit for next season.

The home kit is all-black (yes, seriously) with a sublimated design across the body of the shirt. The traditional 3-stripes on the shoulders are neon green, and even the crest receives the neon treatment. The only sign of the team’s patriotic colors are on the tail of the shirt, which is where the flag’s colors reside.

You don’t normally see national teams nearly foresake their flag’s colors in favor of hopping on trends, but El Tri and adidas have done just that with this design. I’m seriously shocked that they’re actually going to wear this, but it’s totally official. If you don’t believe me, then maybe you’ll believe what has to be the most apt description of a kit unveiling you’ll ever see.
