Minnesota Twins Announce Changes to their Uniform for 2026 Season

The Minnesota Twins are making a small, but important change to their navy blue road alternate uniforms ahead of the rapidly approaching 2026 Major League Baseball season.

While the base colour and cap remain the same, the wordmark across the front is changing from the white arched “MINNESOTA” logo to a white scripted “Twins”. The player number below stays red, and the sleeve striping also stays blue/white/red. On the sleeve, the patch changes from the Twins “TC” logo to a state map of Minnesota with their red North Star graphic placed on the Twin Cities. Here’s a side-by-side:

On the back, we’re getting a colour swap of the player’s name (was white, now red) and number (was red, now white). This uniform is officially an alternate uniform replacing the navy blue uniform that had been worn since 2023; the rest of their uniform rotation from 2025 remains the same, including the City Connect set. This set can be worn both at home (with white pants) or on the road (with grey, pinstriped pants). It will always be worn with the “M” cap regardless of where they’re playing.

The club states this is the first time they have worn a regular road uniform with “Twins” across the front since the powder blue roadies back in 1986. Up until that point, from their first season in the state, the team had never worn “MINNESOTA” across the front of their jerseys before their big uniform change that came just in time for their 1987 World Series championship season. The Twins kept that look, largely untouched, until a modernization coinciding with their move to Target Field in 2010; their current look was introduced in 2023.
