The Minnesota Vikings will wear white jerseys and pants at home for the second consecutive Christmas Eve when they play host to the Detroit Lions on Sunday (1 p.m. ET on FOX).

Fans attending the game at U.S. Bank Stadium are encouraged to wear white to match the team, just like they were for last year’s 27-24 win over the New York Giants, which ended on a 61-yard field goal.

That game marked the first time since 1964 that the Vikings wore white jerseys at home and the first time in franchise history that they wore white jerseys over white pants at home during the regular season.

In addition to the uniforms, Minnesota has painted the end zones white with a purple wordmark and whited out the primary logo at midfield. This design was also used for last year’s “Winter Whiteout,” as shown above.

The Vikings are 1-1 in this uniform combination, which includes white socks rather than the usual half purple and half white look, including a 24-7 loss at the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 road opener.
