Newfoundland Regiment Unveils Home Jersey at QMJHL Draft

As they build their team for the 2025-26 Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League season, the Newfoundland Regiment took the opportunity this week to launch the home jersey for their inaugural season in St. John’s.

The relocated Acadie-Bathurst Titan used the QMJHL Draft in Quebec City on Friday, June 6, to unveil their home jersey when they selected centre Ben Veitch with the fifth overall pick.

The jersey has a navy blue base and collar, with maroon shoulders and broad maroon stripes at the waist and the sleeve cuffs. The shoulders have a white outline, while the waist and sleeves have a navy blue stripe between the maroon panels and a white stripe. The Regiment’s primary logo sits on the chest.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce this jersey to our fans,” said Regiment president Glenn Stanford on the team’s website. “It’s a powerful symbol of who we are — a team built on tradition, resilience, and a relentless drive for excellence. We can’t wait to see it worn with pride during our home opener at Mary Brown’s Centre on September 18.”

Each shoulder has a secondary logo in the shape of a shield, which can be seen on the right side of the team’s draft logo below. White sleeve numbers were visible on jerseys used at the draft, but the backs weren’t visible. But a video posted to social media showed white numbers on the back and a contrasting maroon nameplate.

The jersey’s shoulder patches are a standout feature, reflecting the team’s commitment to tradition and leadership. Both shoulders patches display a distinguished shield that elevates the design further, featuring two chevrons topped with a crown. This patch is more than a stylistic choice—it symbolizes the honor, responsibility, and leadership carried by the team’s players, connecting the modern roster to the Regiment’s historic values of courage and unity. Together, these shoulder patches transform the jersey into a powerful emblem of pride and excellence.

The jerseys presented at the draft were a sublimated version made by CCM, but the Regiment will have fully crested logos and patches on their jerseys made by Under Armour when the 2025-26 QMJHL season starts this fall. The Regiment’s home opener at the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s will take place on Thursday, September 18, against the defending QMJHL champions, the Moncton Wildcats.
