Last night the Quebec Capitales and St. Paul Saints got together for a CanAm – American Association inter-league game at Stade Municipal in Quebec City.
In celebration of “Soirée Hockey” (Hockey Night), the two teams took the field wearing the jerseys of their respective former NHL hockey franchises – the Capitales wearing jerseys based on the Quebec Nordiques, while the Saints wore uniforms similar to the old green and gold Minnesota North Stars.
Photos of the game are fairly hard to come by, but we managed to find a couple which you can see below:

This was not the first time either club had worn uniforms paying tribute to these hockey teams, the Capitales wore blue Nordiques-style jerseys in July 2013:
One of the game worn uniforms from that game are up for auction on eBay now if you were so inclined.
While the Saints were set to wear a North Stars style jersey on August 11, 2011 against Winnipeg (wearing Jets style uniforms) although I cannot find any evidence this event actually took place. Here’s the two uniforms from that one:
Maybe next year we can see these two teams hook up for a WHA event? Would love to see Saint Paul back out there in Minnesota Fighting Saints uniforms, they can even use their actual team name for it.
