Ranger Danger: K-Pop Group STAYC Gets Their Jerseys Mixed Up in Texas

A Korean pop girl group had an unfortunate jersey mix-up during a tour stop in Texas this week.

The group STAYC were performing in Dallas as part of their current world tour on Thursday, October 19, and decided to wear jerseys of local sports teams in the city, as touring artists often do. But the two members of the group who were supposed to be wearing Texas Rangers baseball jerseys were instead wearing soccer jerseys — those of Rangers FC, the Glasgow-based Scottish Premiership side.

Specifically, the bandmates were wearing Rangers kits from the 1996-97 season, when the club won the Scottish League Cup and had players like Paul Gascoigne and Ally McCoist on the roster.

The Texas Rangers, meanwhile, punched their ticket to the World Series on Monday, October 23, with an 11-4 win over state rivals the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
