The best and brightest of the ECHL will shine bright in brand new jerseys during the league’s All-Star Classic early next year.
On Tuesday, November 21, the host team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, unveiled the jerseys that they and the rest of the league will wear at the 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic, which will take place at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah on Monday, January 15.
The format of the game will see the host Ghost Pirates take on a squad made up of star players from other ECHL teams. The Ghost Pirates will wear black uniforms, while the rest of the league will wear white.
The Ghost Pirates’ jersey features a logo on the front that’s usually a shoulder patch for the team. It’s an outline of the state of Georgia with “SAV” and a white hockey stick crossing in the middle and a neon green star marking the location of Savannah. The hem is white with a green star shooting across the front, along with a grey stripe underneath. The cuffs are white with green and grey stripes.
The ECHL All-Stars jersey swaps the black and white from the Ghost Pirates’ jersey while maintaining the green and grey stripes. The 2024 All-Star Classic logo appears on the front of the jersey.
Both jerseys were pictured in Tuesday’s announcement with black pants and black gloves with green accents. Each jersey was also paired with socks that matched the striping pattern on the sleeves.
As a bonus, the Ghost Pirates will also have special warmup jerseys for the game. They’ll be predominantly black, with the eyes from the Ghost Pirates’ primary logo isolated and placed on the front. The sleeves, socks and hem have neon green and grey stripes, with green stars in the middle of the grey stripe. The collar and numbers on the sleeves and back are neon green, and the All-Star Classic logo appears on the right shoulder.
The ECHL All-Star Classic will feature skills competitions between periods, with winners earning points toward their team’s final score in the game. The first two periods will be five-on-five hockey, while the third period will be three-on-three.
