Next weekend, the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons will duel it out on the gridiron in Super Bowl LI to decide this year’s championship. We already know what the uniform matchup will be for the big game, but now it’s time to take a look at what the field will look like and how the patches will look like applied onto the uniforms.

For starters, we’ll look at the patches. There’s nothing too elaborate here, but it’s definitely nice to get an up-close look at the patches on the jersey (and it’s also interesting to note the difference in material between the Patriots’ jerseys and the Falcons’ jerseys. Remember, the Falcons are one of the very few teams who decided not to switch to the new material after Nike became the official supplier for the NFL.)

Meanwhile, the field design appears to have been finalized for the Super Bowl. The basic design of the field appears to be very similar to what we saw last year — the endzone designs are nearly identical to Super Bowl 50, and the obvious difference on the field is that the gold elements from Super Bowl 50 have been replaced with the regular NFL color scheme for Super Bowl LI.

Personally, I’m just glad that nobody botched the paint job in either endzone this year. Hopefully that saved on a lot of work for the grounds crew.
