The Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship are all charged up over the release of their new third kit for their 50th anniversary season in 2025.
The Rowdies unveiled what they’re calling the “Electrostatic Kit” on Thursday, July 10. They’ll make their on-pitch debut on Saturday, July 12, when the Rowdies visit San Antonio FC.
According to the club, the kit — manufactured by Mexican sportswear company CHARLY — was “conceived as a nod to Tampa Bay’s reputation as the Lightning Capital of North America. Florida averages over one million lightning flashes per year, with the majority occurring in the Central Florida corridor dubbed ‘Lightning Alley’ from May through September.”
The jersey’s dark grey base are meant to evoke “the daily storm clouds that fill Tampa Bay’s horizon in the summer months” while the black and neon green diagonal streaks all over the shirt represent “crackling bolts of lightning flashing across the night sky.” The side panels and sleeve cuffs are also neon green while the V-neck collar is black with neon green trim.

“The Electrostatic Kit captures the intensity and limitless energy of Tampa Bay. Inspired by the raw power of lightning, the kit symbolizes the spark behind every brilliant moment on the field, the passion of our loyal supporters, and our region’s steadfast spirit. We’re thankful to our partners at CHARLY for helping bring this kit to life.”

The wordmark from the Rowdies’ crest is isolated and printed in white on the left chest, along with two stars representing their NASL championship in 1975 and their USL title in 2012. On the left sleeve are the initials COYR (Come On You Rowdies) in silver, while a dark grey version of the club’s 50th anniversary logo appears on the right hem.
Names and numbers are printed on the back in white, along with sponsor and manufacturer logos on the front, back and sleeves. The jersey will be paired with dark grey shorts and hooped socks, a trademark look carried over from the Rowdies’ home and away kits.

The Electrostatic Kit is available at the Rowdies’ team store at Al Lang Stadium and online at TheBayRepublic.com.
Kickoff for Saturday’s match between the Rowdies and SAFC is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT. It will broadcast locally on Tampa Bay 44 and nationally on ESPN+.
