As part of their perennial “Legends Night” series the Los Angeles Kings will be wearing their retro late 1960s yellow uniforms tonight against the Calgary Flames.
The team had previously worn their 1970s purple (or “Forum Blue” as they’re officially referred to) uniforms during these games.
While the jerseys and helmets are yellow, the pants will not be, the team wore the purple pants with the yellow jerseys for their first three seasons before making the silly switch to gold head-to-toe.

Tonight is the first of three games the Kings will wear the old uniforms for, other games include February 24 vs the Red Wings and March 7 against the Penguins.
