In memory of the victims of the Orlando Pulse club shooting earlier this week, the Tampa Bay Rays will be wearing the former caps of an old Minor League team from the city for their game tonight. It’s all part of the Rays “We Are Orlando” night at Tropicana Field.
It’s a classy (and brilliant) move by the organization to use the old rainbow style logo caps of the Orlando Rays, a Double-A team in the Southern League who played in Orlando for seven seasons between 1997 and 2003.
Game worn caps will be auctioned off on Monday on the Rays official website, all proceeds will go to victims of the shooting.
